Redireccionamiento a myfamily.com

Por unas horas he tenido un problema que me hizo pensar en un virus efectivo o malware que capaz de saltar la seguridad de Linux.

Afectaba concretamente a la navegación web, aquí los detalles:

1. Escribía cualquier dirección .com en mi navegador (Firefox u Opera)

2. Si la web no cargaba, (en Opera salía una página en blanco, en Firefox un mensaje de problemas con la conexión) la dirección tecleada redireccionaba a la web myfamily.com

3. Más o menos lo que salía en la barra de dirección era esto:

Buscando en Google, veo que ya había antecedentes sobre el tema, cuestión de malware o virus en Windows... ¿Pero si yo estoy en Linux?!!! Xubuntu no puede fallar!!!

Y Linux no falla, el problema radicaba en las direcciones DNS que tenía de servidores, los cambié hace no mucho por un problema con Telefónica del Perú (los muy malditos hace rato que han sobrepasado su capacidad de abasto, por lo que sus direcciones DNS no servían para nada).

Por eso tuve que cambiar las direcciones que Timofónica brindaba a estas (que por cierto, no recuerdo de donde las saqué ^^!, si también tienes estos números, cambialos):

Primario :: 216.244.191.36
Segundario :: 216.244.191.38

Todo sin problemas hasta hoy en que aparecieron esa redirecciones.

Si este es tu problema, la sugerencia es cambiar las direcciones DNS que tienes, en Perú estas direcciones pueden ser de utilidad (son las que uso ahora):

Audacious 1.4.0 Beta2 has been released. This fixes some bugs that were reported in beta1. Discuss the 1.4 Beta release series.

The audacious website is undergoing a redo. We're working on a new website that will allow for people to submit (and possibly host on a decent mirror) components and skins, as well as add proper commenting and proper documentation infrastructure to the website. (e.g. bye bye MediaWiki really soon now)

Update: There was a bug discovered in the plugins pack. 1.4.0-beta3 has been released to fix it.

Salió por fin la versión estable de Xubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, aunque parece que ni en su web oficial se han enterado.

Incluye al entorno de escritorio XFCE por defecto, más ligero, con todas las bondades de Gnome y KDE, pero sin Gnome y KDE, además que puedes activar composite en dos clics.

Dentro de poco informaremos de lo bueno (y lo malo) que trae esta versión...

Audacious 1.4.0 Beta1 has been released. The API is mostly stablized (we may make a few minor adjustments still), and we have gotten rid of the curl plugin due to bugs. It has been replaced with a libneon-using plugin which is more reliable. Discuss the 1.4 Beta1 release.

Se lanza la primera BETA de este excelente reproductor de audio, que entre sus novedades incluye una limpieza de código, mejor performance y muchas correciones en los codecs de audio. Además nuevos plugins como el gnome-shortcuts, para aquellos que usan Gnome.

Si bien aun faltan algunos detalles que corregir, esta versión BETA es completamente funcional.

Los paquetes DEB fueron creados usando checkinstall para máquinas i386 usando Xubuntu Gutsy.

IMPORTANTE!!!
En Ubuntu (y similares) hay un fallo de librerías compartidas, que hace que Audacious no inicie.

Si inicias Audacious desde la terminal aparece el siguiente mensaje:

audacious: error while loading shared libraries: libaudclient.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

La solución a este problema lo da uno de los desarrolladores de Audacious, puedes revisarlo en los foros de Audacious, tipeas en la terminal lo siguiente para enlazar las librerías necesarias:

sudo su -c 'echo /usr/local/lib >> /etc/ld.so.conf && ldconfig'

Con esto ya tendrías Audacious funcionando.

Los Hnos. Brothers

Mucho punche, mucho rock y letras que atraen, en pocas palabras, son Los Hnos. Brothers.

Banda peruana, formada en 1999, con Eduardo Chaparro en la voz, César Zamalloa en el bajo, Jorge de Tramontana en la guitarra y Héctor Quintanilla en la batería.

Su sonido es el clásico hard-rock de fines de los 70's y comienzos de los 80's, cuando se coqueteaba con el Heavy Metal sin llegar a su sonido característico de voces agudas y guitarras de solos interminables. Se les puede comparar a los primeros Iron Maiden y mucho más parecido al sonido de AC/DC.

Del primer disco autotitulado , que no es muy conocido se puede escuchar el tema Cantares, un cover que hacen de Juan Manuel Serrat.

En su segundo disco titulado Cabeza de ratón, lanzado en 1999 se perfilan como una de las mejores bandas de rock peruano, un sonido típicamente hard rock, destaca el primer track "Gloria", un cover de The Doors, un cambio de letra total que le da un sabor muy peruano a la historia, como sucede en los demás temas del disco, con una preocupación que sin ser "social" lama la atención por los diversos tópicos de los que se puede hablar.

Lo importante es la música, Los Hnos. Brothers no habrán descubierto la pólvora, pero saben sacar buenas chispas y dar un buen espectáculo con ella. Mucho mejor aún, sus discos son totalmente libres de compartir y descargar, siguiendo la filosofía del baterista de la banda. Todo un regalo que vale mucho.

Roxette - Tourism (1992)

Siendo ya conocidos mundialmente, este álbum es una recopilación de actuaciones y pequeñas sesiones que dieron alrededor del mundo durante su gira Join the Joyride.

Este es el mejor álbum de la banda, el pop suena sin tanto artilugio electrónico, las guitarras acústicas dan el ritmo y la voz de Marie es bellísima. Per da a conocer su lado rockero con temas como Cinnamon Street, Keep me waiting, que tiempo después desarrollaría en sus placas como solista.

El track que abre el disco How do you do es el más conocido de este álbum, con un Per eficiente en vocales, le sigue Fingertips, una muestra de lo que es el estilo de Roxette: pop sencillo, melódico y emocionante. Luego está la versión en vivo de The Look, The heart shaped sea, otra balada que no se puede dejar de escuchar. The rain es otra joya que contiene este álbum con un sonido más noventero hacieno énfasis en la percusión, Keep me waiting es un trabajo en solitario de lo que es el sonido de Per. Luego se puede escuchar la versión country de It must have been love, le sigue Silver Blue un tema donde la voz de Per y Marie se apoyan una en otra. Here comes the weekend es quizá una de los mejores temas pop que he escuchado, grabado en un cuarto de hotel y usando de percusión una maleta de viaje. So far away es el tema de Marie, toda su capacidad y habilidad vocal se da a relucir. Otro tema noventero sale a flote: Come back before you leave con algunas influencias de sus anteriores trabajos. Le siguen después dos temas del álbum Joyride: la versión acústica de Thing will never be the same y Joyride, terminan con la regular Queen of rain, que sin ser notable permite cerrar perfectamente el círculo que es este disco.

Disco de autores desconocidos que salió bajo el nombre de Blackmore's Kingdom, aprovechando la fama de Ritchie Blackmore y su nueva banda: Blackmore's night.

Son 19 tracks de corte instrumental, donde la gran privilegiada es la guitarra, con sonidos "medievales" (un poco con la onda new age, y el sonido romántico del que supuestamente se disfrutaba en la época de los caballeros y princesas, magos, espadas y demás...)

Los arpegios de la guitarra acústica siguen un ritmo cadencioso, mezclados con flautas y otros instrumentos, logran un sonido atractivo. Al margen de si es un fake o no, este disco es muy agradable.
